Kees van der Burg

Kees studied Dutch law at Leiden University, after which he completed specialised post-graduate courses in Insolvency Law (Insolad) and Real Property at the Grotius Academy.
Kees worked at the Haarlem District Court in 1989, then as an attorney with Van Hartingsveldt & Roest, a law firm in Leiden, until 1991. Kees has worked as a founding partner of BOS VAN DER BURG since 1991.

Kees has spent many years practicing company law and property law. As a senior company lawyer, Kees has served as lead counsel on countless transactions, gaining international experience with transactions in countries such as Spain and the US. Kees also practises in the areas of labour law and landlord and tenant law.

Regulations

Mr. C.M. Van der Burg has registered the following legal areas in the register of legal areas of the Netherlands Bar:

• corporate law
• real estate law
• labour law
• general practice / civil law

According to the standards of the Netherlands Bar the registration obliges the lawyer to obtain ten training credits per year in each of the registered legal areas.
