Santiago Mejia Ortiz

Santiago Mejía Ortiz Holds a Law Degree from Universidad Iberoamericana (UNIBE) in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic and is currently Partner for Mejía Pérez Legal Consulting, specializing in Airport and Aviation Law, Corporate and Business, and Intellectual Property. Currently is also Head Register in the Mercantil Register of the Cámara de Comercio y Produccion de Santo Domingo (CCPSD) since 2004. Professor of Aviation Law, Corporate Law and Anti Money Laundering Law in Universidad Iberoamericana (UNIBE) in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic.

Participated in the Concession Process of the Main International Airports in the DR and in the Transition Process from Public Owned to the Concession. (Including the drafting, negotiating and executing of the Concession Agreement) and have been Legal Counsel for the Concessionaire of the Airports. Also had advised airports outside the Dominican Republic, on contracts and regulations.

Participated as Lead Lawyer in 2 International Airline Certification Processes in the DR and currently is local Counsel for relevant international airlines with interests in the DR. International Speaker in various airport and aviation conferences.
