Erwan Joncheres

Me Erwan Jonchères has been a lawyer at the Barreau du Québec since 2018. He works in the field of personal information protection and assists Quebec and international tech companies with their legal affairs.

Previously, Me Jonchères practiced law at a French firm specialized in data protection, Haas Avocats, during the preparation for the implementation of the GDPR. He also completed a term at the Cyberjustice Laboratory, a research center at the University of Montreal (UdeM) aimed at promoting access to justice through the development of judicial technologies.

Me Jonchères holds a Master’s degree in Business Law from Paris V Descartes University and an LL.M. in Information Technology Law from the University of Montreal. His thesis focused on the legal framework of cryptocurrencies. Currently, his interests have expanded to the fields of blockchain and smart contracts.
