Biography

Evert-Jan graduated in Dutch law in 1995. He also studied at Cambridge University, and in 2002 he completed the postgraduate specialist course in ‘Financing & Security’ of the “Grotius Academie”.

As a lawyer, he specialises in business law, focusing on commercial law, company law, national and international mergers, acquisitions, management buy-in/buyout, restructuring, joint ventures, participating interests and the other aspects of the transaction and financing practice.

Evert-Jan has wide experience at various firms. From 1995 to 2010 he worked at large multidisciplinary firms such as EY Law, and from 2010 to 2020 inclusive he was a senior partner at Taylor Wessing in both Eindhoven and Amsterdam, where he was in charge of the Corporate / M&A practice group.

He set up his own firm in 2021. In addition to listed companies, his client portfolio also includes many family businesses. Giving advice is second nature to him. As a dealmaker, he successfully completed many complicated mergers and acquisitions, because in addition to his experience and professional knowledge he also used his common sense and practical can-do mentality. That combination is his strength.

Evert-Jan has been a member of the Dutch Accounting Law Association, the Dutch Commercial Law Association and the Dutch Corporate Litigation Association for many years. In addition, he fulfils a number of supervisory roles in manufacturing companies, and he regularly gives lectures on his area of expertise to entrepreneurs.
