Biography

Arístides Victoria is a Senior Associate at ECIJA Dominican Republic. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Law, Magna Cum Laude, 2015, from the Pontificia Universidad Católica Madre y Maestra. Subsequently, he completed a Master’s degree in Administrative Law, 2018, from the same university, and later earned a Master’s degree in Law of New Technologies, 2019, at ESADE Law School in Barcelona, Spain. Throughout his career, he has participated in various diplomas, congresses, and seminars where he has strengthened his knowledge of new technologies law, administrative law, litigation, and other areas. More recently, he participated in courses such as Data Protection and Technology at Harvard Business School and Digital Commerce at the Autonomous University of Barcelona.

His professional practice stands out in advising on national and international operations, actively participating in processes related to new technologies law, administrative law, sports law, arbitration, litigation, labor law, and negotiations, where he has achieved significant success for clients through innovative strategies.

In the field of new technologies, he has advised multinational clients on data protection, ecommerce, and digital signatures. His advice includes both local and international perspectives to ensure that the client makes a wise and appropriate decision when protecting their investment interests in the Dominican Republic. In this regard, he co-led the regulatory evaluation process in data protection, e-commerce, and consumer law for one of the largest international companies in the entertainment industry. He has also represented transnational clients in asset recovery, damage claims, seizures, matters related to agents and distributors (Law 173), and related issues.

In sports law, he is part of the team representing Major League Baseball teams in claims that may arise. In labor law, he has assisted clients in drafting and executing complex labor contracts, separation of top executives, as well as in risk assessments and mitigations. He participated in the Due Diligence of labor and litigation for the merger process of leading Dominican insurance companies.

He is an active member of the Bar Association of the Dominican Republic and represents the firm at the Legal Committee of the Spanish Chamber of Commerce of the Dominican Republic (CAMACOES). He is fluent in Spanish and English and has basic knowledge of French.
