Biography

Adv. Enyal Shuke is a senior Albanian attorney with over 27 years of professional experience in corporate, banking and finance, energy, infrastructure, concessions, privatisation, and international arbitration matters. A member of the Tirana Bar since 17 August 1998, she is widely recognised for her expertise in complex cross-border transactions and high-profile investment projects in Albania.

She combines deep knowledge of Albanian law with extensive experience gained in leading international law firms, advising multinational corporations, international financial institutions, governments, and foreign investors.

• Deutsche Bank on Albanian law aspects of investment and jurisdictional matters.
• Vinci Concessions in connection with due diligence relating to Tirana International Airport concession matters.
• Duferco Participation Holdings SA in connection with due diligence of hydropower investments.

Adv. Shuke has extensive experience in investment arbitration, including proceedings before the International Centre for Settlement of Investment Disputes (ICSID).

• ICSID Case No. ARB/15/28, representing foreign investors in arbitration proceedings against the Government of Albania, in cooperation with leading international firms.
• Related enforcement proceedings in Belgium and Italy, advising on Albanian law aspects of recognition and enforcement of ICSID awards.

She has also acted in ICC arbitration matters concerning foreign investment protection.

• Advised together Advant NCTM Studio Legale the banks (BNL, Banca Sella S.p.A Holdings S.p.A, Illimity Bank S.p.A) regarding their financing and securitization of such financing to the Albanian related companies of the Borrower, specifically advising on the drafting of the securitization package document and also providing respective legal opinions on their validity and enforceability in Albania.
