• China’s National Intellectual Property Administration (“CNIPA”) just released a notice titled “Blue Sky” announcing the ratification campaign against illegal IP agency behavior has achieved satisfactory result.
• During the rectification, CNIPA has interviewed 2,350 agencies, enforced 2,105 for rectification, issued 220 fines and warnings, and closed down 12 agencies.
• Particularly, on the trade mark side, CNIPA has interviewed 6 agencies, filed 24 cases for investigation and punished agencies in 13 cases.

·             To strengthen the focus on prosecuting serious illegal agency behaviours, CNIPA has updated the State Administration for Market Regulation by inserting latest serious illegal and untrustworthy acts. It has formulated the Administrative Measures for the Credit Evaluation of Patent Agents (Trial) with relevant legislation for trial.
