Claudia Fernandini is Founding partner and Managing Director of Mertz Perú S.A.C. (2017 to date). In addition to managing Mertz Perú, she directly handles and oversees work for clients.
Intellectual Property, Technology Transfer, and Innovation are three of Claudia’s main areas of expertise. She helps companies develop plans to protect their innovations, creations and brand names, resulting in powerful intellectual property assets. She has substantial experience with trade secret protection and works on Technology Scouting and Competitive Intelligence projects on a regular basis.
Her past experience as General Director of Clarke Modet & Co. Perú S.A.C. (2002 – 2014) included representation of the firm and directly handling and overseeing work for clients. She served as the General Director of Clarke Modet & Co. Perú, the peruvian affiliate of the Spanish group, which acquired her business – Fernandini Abogados Asociados – in 2002, merging it into the Clarke Modet group.
Before that she founded Fernandini Abogados S.A.C. (1996 – 2002), a boutique law firm specializing in intellectual property.

Technology watching services are heavily utilized during the patent process, technological watching services are also consistent with our organization’s strategy. For this, we are putting the ISO 56006 standard into practice, with the goal of certifying our Technology Scouting services by the end of this year.
We were awarded a government grant to increase our use of digital tools, and have incorporated the use of specialized software solutions to manage our portfolio.
