Ivan Urzhumov focuses his practice on international arbitration and litigation. He has experience working on commercial and investment arbitration cases under ICC, ICSID and UNCITRAL rules. Ivan’s practice also encompasses international litigation, including the recognition and enforcement of foreign judgments and arbitral awards, the taking of evidence abroad, as well as asset-tracing and the recovery of debts through cross-border proceedings. Ivan has particular experience of the Russian market over a number of years, having started his legal career in the country before moving to Paris.
The hires are a further strengthening of Clyde & Co’s International Arbitration Group in Paris which is a key seat of arbitration, enabling the Paris team to offer clients additional expertise in international public law, commercial litigation and debt recovery. Hery and Ivan also add further regional expertise, specifically in relation to Eastern Europe and francophone Africa.
