David studied Philosophy at the University of Toronto before completing his Bachelor of Law in 1989 at Osgoode Hall Law School. Upon being admitted to the Bar in 1991, he continued as an Associate at the firm where he finalized his articles specializing in civil litigation, particularly in the area of insurance law.

David founded Zuber & Company LLP in February 1999. Under his management, the firm has grown to the current complement of twenty-four lawyers and partners with a variety of insurance clients. His practice is primarily trial and appellate work. David has extensive trial experience acting as counsel for clients at numerous hearings (both judge alone, as well as judge and jury) and appeals involving liability, injuries, property damage, occupier’s liability, product liability and insurance coverage disputes. As well as co-authoring a textbook for high school law courses across Canada, David has contributed to a variety of legal and insurance publications and has made numerous presentations on civil liability and insurance issues.

David has been a member of many notable committees including, but not limited to: Civility in Justice System; Task Force Bill 59 Auto Reform; the Rules Committee: Task Force Discovery Process; the Canadian Bar Association; The Advocates Society; the Defence Research Institute; and was formerly Treasurer for the Canadian Defence Lawyers Association.

He is an active member of the Federation of Defence & Corporate Counsel. A by invitation only limited membership organization comprised of leaders in the insurance and corporate defence bar limited to 1,100 trial lawyers worldwide. David has also been appointed to serve as Vice Chair of the Toxic Tort and Environment Law Section with the FDCC.

He is also Certified as a Specialist in Environmental Law by the Law Society of Ontario.
