Today marks the official opening of our operations in Dublin, and our 29th office worldwide.
Plans to open in Ireland were announced earlier this year with the appointment of the firm’s latest partner hires.
Opening in Dublin presents new opportunities for clients including large organisations, start-ups, investors and entrepreneurs across Europe and the US, especially in life sciences and healthcare and technology sectors, which the firm is recognised for.
Adam Griffiths, who was previously a member of the firm’s Private Equity team and relocated to Ireland in 2017, has returned to Taylor Wessing to lead operations in Dublin. Adam is a respected corporate lawyer in the region with experience in private equity and M&A transactions, with a focus on the international technology and life sciences sectors.
Deirdre MacCarthy will join the firm as a partner from international law firm Maples Group on completion of her notice period. Deirdre is recognised for her experience on cross-border corporate transactions, particularly in the technology and life sciences and healthcare sectors. Her appointment will support the firm’s strategic objectives to represent clients in these sectors across our global network, facilitating their international expansion and M&A opportunities.
