Gerald Ganzger is Managing Partner at the international law firm LANSKY, GANZGER, GOETH, FRANKL + partner (LGP Attorneys). He is considered one of Austria’s leading legal experts for media and entertainment, media law and litigation PR, and is known beyond Austria’s borders for legal representation in “prominent cases of public interest” (Chambers 2017). Domestic and international industry directories regularly rank him at the top of his field. Recently, Gerald Ganzger has been honoured as a Chambers & Partners Band One Lawyer for the TMT-Media Area (“Gerald Ganzger advances to the top of the rankings for his outstanding reputation”). Beyond the media spotlight, Gerald Ganzger advises notable companies and public institutions in all aspects of economic life. His clients include banks, energy and infrastructure service providers, gambling businesses, media and publishing houses, telecommunications and internet providers as well as state-affiliated institutions.

In addition to his work as a legal practitioner, Gerald Ganzger is on the advisory board of the European Brand Institute and Austrian delegate to the International ISO Committee for Brand Evaluation. In this function, he is committed to the setting of standards in the field of trademark and patent evaluation. Gerald Ganzger also heads the Working Group for Compliance in Health Care of the Karl Landsteiner Society. He is a lecturer in media law at the Vienna University of Applied Sciences and a frequent speaker at the European Forum in Alpbach (Austria) – which is said to be the European version of the World Economic Forum in Davos. Gerald Ganzger is an author of technical articles on legal issues in the media sector for one of the German speaking area’s most important magazines in the media industry (Horizont) and is member of the Ethics Senate of the Austrian Advertising Council. He supports the expansion of Austrian trade relations in his role as a delegate of the ITKAM (Austrian Desk of the Italian Chamber of Commerce in Germany).
 

Gerald Ganzger is an alumnus of the University of Vienna Faculty of Law (Dr. iur.) and opened his own law firm in 1989 prior to founding LGP in 2002. He is admitted to the bar in Austria and the Slovak Republic.
