Eduardo Tous Granda is a Ph.D. in Commercial and Insurance Law at the Faculty of Law of the Universidad Complutense of Madrid and a member of the Madrid Bar Association.
During his practice he performed commercial and corporate law transactions, conducted commercial litigation and arbitration, leading domestic and international arbitration courts. In addition, during this time, he made an important stay at Harvard Law School (United States), to increase the depth of his research in Commercial and Insurance Law, presenting many papers at multiple international congresses.
In 2019, Eduardo proceeded to the reading in Spanish and English of his doctoral thesis: “La Mutua de Seguros en el Siglo XXI” (Mutual Insurance in the 21st Century), which earned him the recognition of Doctor with an international mention in Commercial Law, the qualification “outstanding Cum Laude“, the prize of the Royal Spanish Academy of Doctors, and the extraordinary prize of the Faculty of Commercial Law.
The simultaneous practice of Commercial Law, and the knowledge acquired during his doctorate, led Eduardo to create a law firm that would go beyond traditional commercial legal advice, betting for a type of advice that, in addition to satisfying the demands of clients, would have a positive impact on society, creating value. Thus, in 2020, Eduardo founded SLA Legal Partners, with the main objective of providing commercial legal advice in all its aspects.
Likewise, and due to the close link between Eduardo and the University since the preparation of his Ph.D., he regularly publishes his research in specialized legal journals, as well as collaborating as a professor in several national and international universities of recognized prestige.
