He is the managing director of EKP Advisory and a member of the Tax Administration Section and the Value Added Tax Section of the Chamber of Tax Advisors of the Czech Republic. Jan Kotaly specialises in tax litigation and value added tax.
Jan Kotala graduated from the University of Economics and during his studies he worked in an advertising agency in an economic position. After his studies, he worked in leading consulting companies, where he developed mainly in the field of corporate taxation, specializing in corporate income tax and value added tax.
Among the projects he successfully handled were, for example, the restructuring of the debt of a large sports facility in the Czech Republic or a number of tax disputes with the Czech Tax Administration. Jan Kotala is one of the founders of the Tax Forum, a professional conference dedicated to new developments in tax and accounting.
