Johan has extensive experience as counsel and adviser in highly complex litigation and arbitration cases as well as in mediation. He also serves as arbitrator. He has experience of dispute resolution since 2000, covering a variety of arbitration rules (SCC, ICC, HKIAC, SCAI, ad hoc) and he has been involved in court litigation that spans between various jurisdictions.

Prior to starting his own firm in 2024 he was co-head and head of Magnusson Law Firm’s Dispute Resolution Team in Sweden and, before that, a senior associate in (what is now) CMS Wistrand. Before his career as lawyer, he served as a junior judge in Svea Court of Appeal. He has experience of disputes between companies and state entities from all over the world, for example related to private equity, M&A, purchase agreements, trade secrets, agency and resale relationships, license agreements, insurance and reinsurance agreements, franchise agreements, leasing agreements, construction agreements, joint ventures and shareholders’ agreements, service agreements, employees and professional liability.

The disputes he has dealt with concern industries such as health care, retail, recycling and waste collection, energy, water supply, mining, construction, real estate, railways and cars, space, insurance and, gaming, as well as accounting and finance.
