Biography

Kenyetta Alexander is a partner with Osherow, PLLC. She worked as a law clerk with Mark Osherow while in law school and then as an associate attorney in the firm for eight years. She rejoined the firm in 2020.

Alexander received her Juris Doctorate (JD) from Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale, Florida and her bachelor’s degree in political science, magna cum laude from LaGrange College, Lagrange Georgia. She has been a member of The Florida Bar since April 2007, and a member of the Bar of the State of Georgia, since February 2018. She is also admitted to practice before the United States District Court for the Southern District of Florida, 2007 (including Bankruptcy Court), and the United States District Court for the Middle District of Florida, 2008 (including Bankruptcy Court).

Throughout her career, she has managed numerous complex cases in state and federal courts, including cases in bankruptcy courts, in the areas of business and commercial litigation, consumer finance, condominium and homeowner association law, securities law and labor and employment law from inception through trial. She has handled and participated in all phases of cases, including successfully representing clients at trial as first and second chair in both jury and non-jury trials, as well as arbitrations. Alexander also has significant experience handling appeals including researching and writing briefs and participating in oral arguments.

Her experience also includes conducting mediations and arbitrations before the American Arbitration Association and FINRA.

Active with the South Palm Beach County Bar Association, Osherow served as President and Board of Directors member for 11 years. His Florida Bar involvement includes the Business Litigation Certification Committee, Standing Committee on Unlicensed Practice, the Editorial Board of The Florida Bar Journal, and the Legal Specialization & Education Committee. He also is a member of the Craig S. Barnard (CSB) American Inn of Court in Palm Beach County.

Osherow’s partner, Kenyetta Alexander, has been practicing law for 15 years and has managed numerous complex litigation cases, including successfully representing clients as first and second chair at trial in both jury and non-jury trials, as well as arbitrations.

A member of the NSU College of Law Board of Directors, she served as the Palm Beach County Bar Association ADR Committee’s Chair, a member of the Business Litigation Committee and a member of the Solo and Small Firm Committee. Alexander also is a member of South Palm Beach County Bar Association Diversity and Inclusion Committee, the Labor and Employment Committee, and the Solo and Small Business Committee. A member of the Craig S. Barnard American Inn of Court in Palm Beach County, she donates her time as a member of Camelot Community Care Broward Advisory Board and was honored by the March of Dimes as a 2021 Woman of Distinction.
