The annual flagship programme of the Law Society of Hong Kong, Law Week welcomes its 30th anniversary this year. Our Senior Partner, Ms Ella Cheong, was invited to attend the opening ceremony as one of the few guests due to her being on the Roll of Honour of the Law Society of Hong Kong. Themed “Serving the Public Good for three Decades”, the Chief Executive, Chief Justice of the Court of Final Appeal and the Secretary for Justice officiated at the ceremony.
More than 2,000 Law Society members have been participated in over 130 community talks, free legal advice programmes and other activities, serving over 50,000 people in the city. To attract young generation audience, the Law Week has started to produce short clips to promote legal knowledge and launch it on social media channels since 2016. Total viewership of over 1.74 million has been achieved.
