Kirkland & Ellis is pleased to announce that Manas Chandrashekar has joined the Firm’s Hong Kong office as a partner in the Debt Finance Practice Group. Mr. Chandrashekar has extensive experience advising private equity sponsors on complex international leveraged and other types of structured financings across Asia.

“We’re really excited that Manas is joining our Hong Kong office. Asia is an important global market for the Firm and we are delighted to continue to strengthen our private equity and sponsor side debt finance team there,” said Jon A. Ballis, Chairman of Kirkland’s Global Management Executive Committee.

Mr. Chandrashekar joins Kirkland from Latham & Watkins, where he was a partner in the Hong Kong office.

Mr. Chandrashekar holds a LL.M. from Cornell Law School and a B.A. LL.B. (Honors) from National Law School of India University, Bangalore, India.
