Marc A. Brockhaus leads the firm’s Electrical Engineering & Systems group. He also practices in the areas of intellectual property, technology, computer and patent law and is involved in counseling, transactions, litigation and prosecution before the United States Patent and Trademark Office. Marc is ranked in Band 1 (the top band) for intellectual property law by the rigorously researched Chambers USA 2022. He was selected by attorney peers for inclusion in The Best Lawyers in America® 2024 for five areas: Litigation – Intellectual Property, Patent Law, Technology Law, Trademark Law and Trade Secrets Law. In 2022, Marc was named the Oklahoma Lawyer of the Year for Trademark Law. In 2021, Best Lawyers named him the Oklahoma Lawyer of the Year for Trade Secrets and 2018, he was named Lawyer of the Year for Patent Law. Marc was again ranked in 2022 as an IP Star by Managing Intellectual Property.

Marc has prosecuted patent applications in the United States and abroad in the electrical, software and mechanical arts including telephony equipment, semiconductor design and fabrication, computers, computer networking, digital cameras, electronic test equipment, web guiding equipment, firearm safety equipment, protective vests, explosive detection equipment, optics and optical equipment, software programs and business methods.

Marc has also been involved extensively in patent-related litigation and licensing efforts involving the enforcement of intellectual property rights.
