Mishcon de Reya has received approval to open a branch office in Hong Kong in association with Karas LLP. It will be a disputes and investigations practice focusing on high value, complex issues including those arising from corporate collapses, audit and other professional negligence, shareholder disputes and commercial fraud. It will also build a private wealth practice leveraging expertise from Mishcon de Reya’s highly respected private offering. A Hong Kong based law firm with a team of over 20 locally qualified professionals, Karas LLP in association with Mishcon de Reya will represent corporate, regulatory, Government and private clients and has extensive experience in dispute financing globally.

The firm will be led by Jason Karas, a dispute resolution specialist who founded Lipman Karas in Hong Kong in 2009. Jason is a highly regarded lawyer and strategist who has acted in many of the major corporate collapses and disputes across Asia over the last decade. This is the latest development in Mishcon de Reya’s ambitious growth strategy, embodied in its 10 Year Vision. Following the opening of Mishcon de Reya Singapore in May 2020, this new association reinforces our commitment to Asia and to the Firm’s clients and intermediaries in the region.
