Misozi has over 10 years’ experience in legal practice and a rare expertise in both commercial litigation and commercial transactions. She has vast experience representing clients in various civil and commercial disputes including: employment and labour, trademarks, insurance and capital markets. She has successfully represented clients in celebrated cases involving employment, the dissolution of Islamic marriages and creditors’ schemes of arrangement. She is highly regarded as an expert and a trusted advisor to multinational corporations in employment law disputes. She is also ranked and recognized as an expert in commercial litigation by the Global Law Experts. In terms of transactional lawyering, her experience spans: mergers and acquisitions, project & acquisition finance, Islamic finance, private equity, and corporate advisory and commercial. Misozi has extensively advised various leading commodity trading companies on acquisitions in the wholesale and FMCGs industry. She has also previously advised on acquisition financing in the banking sector.
She is a Beit Scholar, holding a Master of Laws(LLM) in International Trade and Commercial Law from the University of Durham in England and a Bachelor of Laws degree (LLB) from the University of Zambia. She is a Member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (CIArb).
