Noncompliant High-Income Nonfilers Will Be Surpised By Unannounced Visits from the IRS

The IRS is stepping up its efforts and sending more revenue officers on unannounced face-to-face meetings with high-income nonfilers who have not paid their taxes.transnational tax crime.

According to a February 19 news release, the IRS will make hundreds of visits nationwide to high-income individuals with incomes generally in excess of $100,000 a year who have not filed tax returns in 2018 or previous years.

The IRS advises taxpayers to consult a competent tax advisor before waiting to be contacted by an IRS agent.
