Global law firm Reed Smith today announces the hire of Carole Steimle as partner in its real estate team and Paris office.
With over 13 years’ experience, Steimle joins the firm from Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer where she was head of its Paris real estate practice and counsel. She has also previously worked for Gide Loyrette Nouel and Allen & Overy in Morocco.
Steimle’s practice is focused on real estate M&A. She advises clients on the sale and purchase of all types of assets, including offices, hotels, warehouses, student housing, nursing homes and retail space. She has been involved in multiple large-scape projects in France and Maghreb relating to real estate and property transactions, commercial leases, construction (including procurement) and planning. She also has extensive experience advising on cross border transactions.
“Despite the pandemic, we are continuing our development strategy in Paris by hiring lawyers with the right skill sets to meet the growing needs of our clients and to develop innovative ways of working to help drive out clients’ businesses forward. Carole is a perfect fit and we’re delighted to have her on board,” said Natasha Tardif, Jean-Pierre Collet and Daniel Kadar, Reed Smith’s office managing partners.
“I’m very pleased to be joining Reed Smith. I’ve already had the pleasure of working with some of the firm’s Paris lawyers and was hugely impressed with their dedication to providing the best possible support to their clients. I look forward to working with my new colleagues and growing my practice.”
Established in Paris since 2005, Reed Smith now has more than 80 lawyers, including 23 partners in Paris. The Office Managing Partners are Jean-Pierre Collet, Daniel Kadar and Natasha Tardif.
