Simpson Thacher is proud to be a founding member of the Law Firm Antiracism Alliance (“LFAA”), whose purpose is to leverage the resources of the private bar, in partnership with legal services organizations, to: amplify the voices of communities and individuals oppressed by racism; better use the law as a vehicle for change that benefits communities of color; and promote racial equity in the law. Recognizing that lawyers and law firms are uniquely positioned to analyze and advocate to change laws and policies that encourage or enable racial injustice, the LFAA will facilitate the coordination of its member firms to best work in conjunction with legal services to create large-scale, coordinated pro bono and collaborative advocacy projects that are both immediate and long-term in scope. More than 125 law firms have signed on to the LFAA.
