Theos Vrahimis is the Head of the Corporate Department of our firm, specializing on complex corporate transactions, real estate, banking/finance work and private client.
With extensive experience on advising entrepreneurs, family offices, real estate developers and regulated entities, Theos is recognised for his proficiency in navigating intricate legal matters. Theos’ also regularly advises foreign high-net worth individuals on immigration matters, including on the most tax efficient way to structure Cypriot investments or facilitating smooth relocations to Cyprus.
Theos has successfully completed numerous significant transactions for our clients, ranging from share and asset acquisitions to group restructurings. Noteworthy achievements include the acquisition of a company licensed as a small AIFM along and the funds it owned, as well as overseeing the acquisition of a company owned by Bank of Cyprus — a transaction that garnered media attention. As a client-centric lawyer, Theos places paramount importance on understanding our clients’ needs and concerns which in turn, allow him to provide efficient solutions and add value to our clients’ businesses.
Theos commenced his career at the Tax department of Ernst & Young in London where he supported the internal tax team and private funds business of a Morgan Stanley. Whilst at EY, Theos gained extensive experience in the field of international taxation through his involvement in numerous multi-million cross-border merger & acquisitions, restructuring and fund set ups.
Furthermore, he obtained a First-class LLB from the University of Essex where he graduated in the top 1% of his class. He then pursued a LLM in International Tax Law at King’s College London with Distinction and was awarded the prize of best dissertation amongst his cohort; his thesis focused on international anti-abuse mechanisms. Furthermore, he completed the LPC with MSc in Law, Business and Management at the University of Law in London with Distinction.
