We are delighted to announce a significant accomplishment of S.K.Singhi & Partners, wherein we successfully represented, Hind Ceramics Private Limited, a prominent warehousing service provider, in Two complex Commercial Arbitrations concerning the prolonged unauthorised occupation of high-value industrial premises.

In both cases, the disputes arose from long-term lease arrangements where the respondent parties failed to vacate the properties or fulfil their financial obligations despite repeated
notices and the termination of the leases by efflux of time.

The Hon’ble High Court in both the matters appointed two different arbitrators to adjudicate the following issues:

a) Entitlement to khas (i.e. exclusive), peaceful and vacant possession of the subject premises.

b) Legal entitlement to the full quantum of the claim, including principal and applicable interest.

c) Authority to take delivery from the Receiver, including the right to break open the lock if necessary.

d) Right to further relief, statutory or equitable, required for full and effective implementation of the Award.

Under the guidance of Mr. S. K Singhi, Founder & Managing Partner, the case was successfully fought by our Litigation team consisting of Mr. Akshay Singhi, Senior Partner, Ms. Riti Basu, Ms. Piyali Pan and Mr. Ayant Shaw assisted by the entire team at S.K Singhi & Partners.
